Requirements

A Slack workspace where you are an admin or have permission to install apps. Zentry requires access to post messages to specific channels and, optionally, to send direct messages for approval workflows.

Decide upfront which channels should receive different notification types (e.g., #finance-alerts for over-budget warnings, #approvals for pending requests). Channel structure affects how useful the integration is day-to-day.

Getting Started

In Zentry Settings → Integrations, select Slack and click Install to Slack. Choose the workspace and authorize the requested permissions. Zentry will post a confirmation message to verify the connection.

Configure notification rules: select event types, set thresholds, and map each notification to the target channel. Save, then trigger a test notification to confirm delivery.
