Day One Highlights
Fintech Summit 2024 opened with a keynote on embedded finance that set the tone for three days of conversations about where money movement is headed. The central thesis: financial infrastructure is becoming a layer beneath every software category, not a standalone product.
Our booth attracted the mix of visitors we expected: CFOs from mid-market companies evaluating spend management, engineers from banks exploring API partnerships, and a surprising number of HR professionals looking for solutions at the intersection of compensation and expense management.
The Conversations That Mattered
The most recurring theme in our conversations was not a feature request — it was an integration request. Companies are not looking for another standalone tool; they are looking for tools that fit neatly into the stack they already have. ERP integration topped nearly every wish list.
We heard strong demand for real-time spend analytics from finance leaders who are tired of monthly or even weekly reporting cycles. The appetite for live dashboards that update as transactions settle — not as they are reconciled at month-end — was universal.
Themes Shaping 2025
AI-powered anomaly detection in expense data was the topic that generated the most excitement across panels and hallway conversations alike. The use case is compelling: catch duplicate submissions, policy violations, and potential fraud before they reach the reconciliation stage.
Cross-border payment speed and cost reduction remains unsolved at scale. Despite years of progress in the infrastructure layer, CFOs of mid-market companies with international operations are still frustrated with 3-5 day international transfer times and opaque fee structures. This is a clear product opportunity.
What We Are Building Next
Based on what we heard, we are accelerating three things on our 2025 roadmap: native ERP integrations with the five most widely used platforms, real-time transaction data via webhook for finance teams that want to build custom reporting on top of Zentry data, and an AI-powered spend anomaly detection layer.
We are also exploring same-day international payment rails for our most common corridors — the routes between currency pairs where our customers send the most volume. Thank you to everyone who spent time with us at the summit. Your feedback directly shapes what we build.
